Performer Evaluations
We all love performing for our friends, family and peers. The thrill of walking onto the stage to cheers and applause courses through our veins. We also love the heat of competition. HOA contracts the finest adjudicators. Each has many years experience both teaching multiple groups and judging at contest sights across the country. Every group receives recorded comments of their performance and are ranked and scored based on the other competitors. Tensions are high as the tabulation process completes and finalists are announced. The schedule is posted and groups go through the warm-up and finals show. Adjudicators for all HOA venues come from across the United States and feature a Grammy Nominee, a Miss America Pageant judge, a Kennedy Center Teacher of the Year, a Grammy Teacher of the Year Quarter-finalist, Broadway performers including appearances on the Tony’s, numerous Aspire Award nominees and winners, over 600 years of teaching experience, and some of the smartest and most talented people we know!

The most important thing about being a champion is treating others with kindness and respect. So, we want to nurture and share that with others by creating a hashtag you can use in events here and back home.
