Different Regions, Different Schedules
In the world of competitive choral music, different regions of the U.S. and Canada have different timelines for their competition seasons. For example, show choirs in California are just starting their contest seasons, while programs in Iowa often finish their season at the same time in February. Hosting events in multiple locations allows choirs from all over in their “season.” This helps us reach a broader spectrum of the most competitive choirs!
Celebrating Student Achievement
Our goal is to honor students’ hard work in the performing arts. Through in-person events and livestream broadcasts, we showcase students from around North America. Our events provide students with a memorable, high-quality experience—one they’ll carry with them for years to come—at a price that’s more affordable than most other “National” contests. Ultimately, it’s about creating lasting memories while ensuring that cost isn’t a barrier to participation.
Seeing More Talent, More Often
Multiple events also mean more opportunities to see top-tier talent. Each year, we can feature as many as 40 to 60 choirs, allowing us the chance to witness the best of the best from across North America. These events bring together choirs from established choral programs in the Midwest and rising stars from newer programs in places like Arizona and Georgia. We carefully select locations accessible to a wide range of choirs, making it possible for more groups to showcase their talents.
