Heart of America is a proud, long-standing partner of Thirst Project, the world’s leading youth water organization. Founded in 2008 by a 19-year-old show choir kid (Seth Maxwell) from Indiana who discovered the atrocity of this crisis, Thirst has raised over $15 million to give over 700,000 people clean water for life! Thirst is a humanitarian 501(c)3 whose sole mission is to activate young people to help those in need receive this fundamental human right of clean water for a lifetime.

Heart of America began partnering with Performing Arts for Thirst (formerly Show Choirs For Thirst) several years ago by holding “Miracle Minutes” at each championship event. After a quick announcement highlighting the severity of the global water crisis, students pass through the crowd in a high-energy, high-impact moment of voluntary giving.

This year, Heart of America championship participants, with a dollar-for-dollar match from Music Travel Consultants (MTC), raised over $16,000. The proceeds will be utilized to help build clean water wells, providing 650 people with clean water for a lifetime! The contribution will also completely fund water access for another community in the African nation of Eswatini.

“Because of the extraordinary compassion and generosity of MTC/HOA, thousands of people have been given a future filled with hope, better health, and the simple basic human right of fresh clean water for a lifetime. The dollar-for-dollar match takes the money we raise and multiplies it in a miraculous way. The goodness of those who donate reaches across an ocean to make the world better. We gratefully look forward to many years of a beautiful partnership.”
