
The 2026 season of Heart of America championships kicked off on February 28 in Nashville, Tenn. Fourteen groups performed in prelims in the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, with five groups advancing to finals.
The day started early with bright blue skies in the southern town of Nashville. Known for its vibrant live music scene, the groups pulling into the resort were ready to show off their skills on the HOA stage.
Preliminary Competition
Competition began with Broadway Bound from Boulder Creek HS (AZ). The group brought marionettes to life with their show, “Cutting the Strings.”
His People from King’s Academy HS (FL) presented “A Journey of Faith” to wrap up the first block.
AireMen, a tenor-bass ensemble from Jenks HS (OK), received cheers for their performance of “Ego Trip.”
Splash from Tupelo MS (MS) was the first competitor of the day in the Jr. Middle Show Choir division. They brought storytelling and emotion to the stage with their program, “Kaleidoscope Heart.”
Concert choir Bella Voce from Boulder Creek HS (AZ) had the audience clapping along to their performance, which included an arrangement of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”
The Edgewood HS (OH) Choraliers took the audience from junkyard to glitz and glamor during their presentation of “One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s Treasure.”
Trojan Spirit from Jenks HS (OK) traveled back in time to open the Treble Show Choir division. Their ancient-Greece-inspired show, “The Muses,” featured songs from “Hercules” and “SIX.”
Jr. Middle School Show Choir Ambassadors from Clinton Jr. HS (MS) concluded the first half of the competition with “Castaways,” a tale of survival and hope.
Honor Choir from Boulder Creek HS gave a strong ending to the Concert Choir division prelims.
Synergy from Tupelo HS (MS) brought the energy with their powerful performance, “Warrior.”
Hastings HS (MN) show choir, Riverside Company, showcased hits like “Thunderstruck” and “Living My Best Life” in their presentation of “Make our Garden Grow.”
Legacy from Greenfield-Central HS (IN) showcased the adventures that come with travel with their show, “Come Fly with Me.”
Treble show choir Heart & Soul from Boulder Creek HS (AZ) performed “Rosie – A Story of Strength, Service and Sisterhood,” highlighting the resilience of women who have shaped history.
The Trojanaires from Jenks HS (OK) concluded an incredible day of HOA Nashville prelims, dancing in the rain to their program, “The Storm.”

Finals Competition
Finalists included Heart & Soul (Boulder Creek HS, AZ) and Trojan Spirit (Jenks HS, OK) in the Treble division and Riverside Company (Hastings HS), Synergy (Tupelo HS, MS) and Trojanaires (Jenks HS, OK) in the Champion division. Each group put their all into their finals performance, providing an incredible show for the enthusiastic crowd. At the end of the night, Heart & Soul and Synergy were named Grand Champions in their divisions. A complete list of the awards, including the highest achievement in prelims, can be found here. Jack Reilly from Jenks HS (OK) was awarded as the Showchoir Camps of America Outstanding Soloist. The award includes a scholarship to a camp this coming summer.
