
The 2026 season of Heart of America championships continued on March 28 in Orlando, Fla. Twenty-one groups took the stage across six divisions, with five championship groups advancing to finals at Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs™ Area.
From the first performances of the day to the final awards ceremony, Orlando brought strong vocals, creative storytelling and nonstop energy.
Preliminary Competition
Syndicated Sound from Tarpon Springs High School (FL) opened the day in the Open Show Choir division with “Howling Hearts.”
Radiance from Rosa Scott High School (MS) followed with its open division performance, “Radiance Thrill Ride.”
You’ve Got Male from Mt. Zion High School (IL) took the stage next in the tenor-bass division with “Five Star Delivery.”
JagSingers Women’s Concert Choir from Madison Central High School (MS) represented the Concert Choir division with a strong early-morning performance.

After a short break, She-Notes from Olentangy High School (OH) kicked off the treble division with “Bloom!”
Simply Irresistible from Omaha Westside High School (NE) followed in treble competition with “Choose Love.”
Les Femmes from Mt. Zion High School (IL) brought bright energy to the stage with “Summer Fun!”
Viking Volume from Huntington North High School (IN) closed out the morning treble block with “Bad Reputation.”
After lunch, Soundtrax from Los Alamitos High School (CA) continued treble competition with its afternoon performance.
Soundscapes from Madison Central High School (MS) then took the stage in the Vocal Jazz/A Cappella division.
Synergy from Johnston High School (IA) opened the championship division performances with “Living in the Moment.”
Voices of Central from Keller Central High School (TX) followed in championship competition with “The House on the Hill.”
After the afternoon break, Reveillon from Jackson Preparatory School (MS) brought “Rush Week” to the HOA stage.
Keynotes from Olentangy High School (OH) followed with their championship performance, “Level Up!”
The Amazing Technicolor Show Choir from Omaha Westside High School (NE) took the stage next with “What If?”
Reveille from Madison Central High School (MS) brought its championship show, “Ooh La La, Reveille,” to Orlando.
After another short break, Sound FX from Los Alamitos High School (CA) delivered a standout championship performance.
Swingsations from Mt. Zion High School (IL) followed with “Down Home Country.”
Varsity Singers from Huntington North High School (IN) took the stage next in championship competition with “Catch Me.”
Innovation from Johnston High School (IA) closed out the championship prelims with “Lohengrin: The Sorceress and the Swan.”
JagSingers Mass Choir from Madison Central High School and Rosa Scott High School (MS) wrapped up the day’s prelim competition in the Concert Choir division.

Finals Competition
Finalists included Sound FX from Los Alamitos High School (CA), Swingsations from Mt. Zion High School (IL), Keynotes from Olentangy High School (OH), The Amazing Technicolor Show Choir from Omaha Westside High School (NE) and Innovation from Johnston High School (IA). Each group returned to the stage for one more exciting performance in front of an enthusiastic Orlando crowd.
At the end of the night, Sound FX was named Grand Champion and also earned Best Vocals, Best Choreography and Best Show Design. Innovation was named first runner-up. The Amazing Technicolor Show Choir earned second runner-up along with Best Band and Most Improved. Swingsations placed third runner-up, and Keynotes placed fourth runner-up.
In prelims, divisional grand champions included Soundscapes in Vocal Jazz, Syndicated Sound in Open, You’ve Got Male in Tenor-Bass, Jag Singers Mass Choir in Concert Choir, Soundtrax in Treble and Sound FX in Championship. Additional divisional awards included Best Choral Repertoire for Women’s Concert Choir and Best Costumes for Viking Volume, as well as Best Stage Crew for Varsity Singers.
