Heart of America celebrated its 10th anniversary at HOA LA this year. Dressed to the nines, performing groups gathered for a night of community, live entertainment, dinner, dancing and magical special guests at the Disneyland Hotel.
The night opened with comments from HOA founder Chad Williams and HOA owner and producer, Ryan Morris, who reminisced on HOA’s first events and the organization’s commitment to providing educational, uplifting choral experiences for students.
Moonshot, an a cappella group with many Disney performing credits under its belt, wowed the crowd. Students were on their feet as the singers performed upbeat arrangements of Disney songs and other popular favorites. After dancing and singing along, students got to ask the quintet questions about their musical and professional experiences.
After dancing up an appetite, attendees enjoyed a private catered dinner. Students from different groups mingled and got to know one another, the live DJ adding to the fun and energetic atmosphere.
Minnie and Mickey Mouse even made special appearances throughout the night, posing for photos that will serve as reminders of students’ HOA LA experience for years to come.
